The Q/R adapter is designed to allow the hunter to easily disconnect tripod parts. You could install one on your tripod so that you could use the same tripod head on a window mount. If you have a second tripod you could install one on the head so that you could use all the Outdoorsmans accessories. There are too many possibilities to list!
